UIFI: Ohio State
Started at Purdue University, the Undergraduate Interfraternity Institute (UIFI) is a transformational five-day experience. UIFI offers participants the opportunity to explore, define and enhance their leadership skills, personal awareness, commitment to their fraternity or sorority and grow to expect values based action from themselves and those they lead. Students experience hands-on interaction, experiential activities, discussion time and personal reflection time, lead by experienced fraternity and sorority leaders.
UIFI is focused considerably on positive aspects of fraternities and sororities in addition to discussing important issues that threaten society's future specifically: alcohol prevention efforts, hazing reform, sexual assault awareness education, multiculturalism and service learning.
At UIFI, students increase their network of relationships that can help them reach their potential and attain their goals. With private support, Ohio State will be able to model the Purdue UIFI experience. Ohio State's fraternity and sorority community will greatly benefit from the UIFI campus-based experience. UIFI at Ohio State will allow a member of each chapter to experience the transformational curriculum. Investing in UIFI at Ohio State will open doors for current chapters to build upon already existing leadership.
